Bonny export line in Rivers bombed again as avengers strike


The Niger Delta Avengers has claimed responsibility for bombing the 48-inche crude oil export line in Rivers State.
A spokesman for the militant group, Mudoch Agbinibo, in a statement posted on the website of the group on Saturday, said the attack was launched to protest the "overdramatisation of the so-called dialogue and negotiation moves the federal government." Avengers in the Niger Delta, however, claims that he is open to dialogue, adding that it will only accept a peace process that comes with the honor. He warned that the attack was a wake-up call for the federal government to stop dramatizing the proposed dialogue. The group said: "On 23 September 2016, our strike team brought down the oil production activities on the Bonny crude oil export line since the cessation of hostilities and commitment to older Niger Delta PAN.. But those interested, the federal government and its agents changing expectations niger Delta people on the shameful scenes this is just wake up, I can not have other ways to say it better. "
The NDA further warned that it would resist any military action that would undermine the ceasefire on the side of the government, stressing that the posture of President Muhammadu Buhari was not assuring enough.
The statement partly read, “We are still in favour of the dialogue and negotiations. We want peace with honour. We will resist all actions undermining the ceasefire from the side of the government and its security agencies.
