7 best foods to avoid kidney malfunction

Your kidneys provide vital service to your body — from filtering waste from your blood and sending it to your bladder. They also regulate blood pressure, manage water re-absorption, control the acidity in the body, and balance electrolyte levels. Considering their importance, eating a diet to promote kidney health could be one of the best things you can do. The following seven foods will support your kidneys and make their job easier.

Foods to Support Kidney Function
1. Cherries
These tasty little fruits help reduce redness and swelling and contain a healthy amount of vitamin C as well as vitamin K, folate, vitamin B6, magnesium, and citrate. The tarter the cherry, the higher the level of citrate. Citrate reduces uric acid in the blood stream which can lead to gout and arthritis. Those who eat cherries have been found to have lower uric acid levels and a lower risk of gout attacks.

2. Cranberries
Cranberries also offer high levels of vitamin C and manganese. Women have traditionally used it to fight off UTIs. Recent research has found pure cranberry juice (not the sugary stuff) diluted in water reduced urinary levels of oxalate and phosphate which reduce the formation of kidney stones.

3. Cinnamon
Cinnamon is known for its ability to help regulate glucose levels. This can help the body manage glucose better and offer protection from blood sugar disorders. Excess glucose that results from diabetes can cause damage to the kidneys. Another study confirmed that cinnamon can be used as a supplement without concern for increased oxalate risk.

4. Kidney Beans
The shape and name of these beans may suggest which organ benefits most from its healing potential. Kidney beans are known for as an effective home remedy for kidney stones. In ancient times, the pods served as medicinal tonic.

To reduce kidney stone pain, remove the beans from the pods and in a slow cooker, boil the pods in purified water for 6 hours. Once finished, strain the liquid and let it cool before drinking. Drink throughout the day.

5. Olive Oil
Like fish, olive oil provides a healthy serving of nutrient dense, unsaturated fats. Olive oil is also the basis for the 'Mediterranean Diet.' A recent study found individuals suffering from chronic kidney disease who adopted this diet experienced improvements in both symptoms and survival. The active components in olives improve the life of those suffering from chronic kidney disease and will certainly provide kidney support to those looking to maintain kidney health.

6. Java Tea
Also known as Orthosiphon stamineus, this herb has been a standard of folk medicine for a long time. It has typically been used for kidney disorders. A recent study has confirmed it to support the kidneys, as well as the flushing the liver and gastro-intestinal tract. It also offers potentials for blood sugar stabilization, antioxidant protection, and blood pressure stabilization.

7. Onions (and garlic!)
Both onions and garlic contain quercitin. Quercitin is a powerful flavonoid associated with antioxidant benefits and potency against redness and irritation. Research has found quercitin helps provide a protection against kidney damage for smokers. For non-smokers, the bonus protection provided by quercitin combined with improved fat metabolism helps protect the body's filters.

If you enjoy these foods regularly, know that you're doing your kidneys a favor. If you're looking for ways to improve kidney function, adding these foods to your diet can help!

8 signs your woman truely loves you

Yeah she will say she loves you but there are more and better ways to know if she loves you.
1. She loves the way you smell.
Do you catch her burying her nose in your pillow after you get out of bed? Or does she reel in disgust when you skip your shower? If you’re sure you’ve been laying off the garlic but she’s still turning up her nose at you, you may have trouble. Studies have shown that women use the sense of smell in determining a life partner.

2. She’s happy for your successes.
A woman who celebrates with you when your life goes well is truly invested in you and your future together. Does she belittle your accomplishments? That’s a sign of resentment. Not good.

3. She’s always touching you.
Does she have trouble keeping her hands off you? Touching, especially non-sexual touching like smoothing your hair or leaning against your shoulder, is a sign she cares deeply for you. It makes her happy to know you’re within reach.

4. She actually means it when she asks how your day went.
A person in love wants to empathize with the object of her affection. Knowing every little detail of your day helps her strengthen her connection to you.

5. She doesn’t snoop through your stuff.
If her love is in doubt, she may find herself looking through your phone or browsing history for excuses to leave you. But a woman who gives you your privacy is willing to trust you. Trust is one of the strongest signs of love.

6. She constantly brings you up in conversations with others.
You might have to go to mutual friends to figure this one out. If she talks about you a lot, it means she can’t stop thinking about you. Of course, if she’s just complaining about you, that’s another story.

7. She likes to share her food with you.
Love creates a chemical in our bodies called oxytocin, and studies have shown that oxytocin increases generosity (as well as trust; see above). That doesn’t mean your true love won’t get annoyed when you steal all her french fries, but if she likes to offer you bites, that is a sign her oxytocin is flowing.

8. She’s there when you need her.
This may seem obvious, but it’s also one of the most important. It’s easy to be with someone when everything is fun and the sun is shining. When life gets rough, though, a woman who really loves you won’t be saying sayonara and riding off into the sunset. She’ll want to go through it with you. That’s true love.

21-year-old murders father

The Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, is currently investigating the murder of one Moses Sunday, who was allegedly killed by his 21-year-old son in his three-bedroom apartment at Flat 6, 286 Jakande Estate, Mile 2 on November 6.

Vanguard gathered that the deceased was based in Nasarawa State, where he worked as a mechanical engineer in a company before relocating to Lagos to live with his family about three months.

According to reports, the victim, his wife Funmilayo Tifase, their 26-year-old graduate daughter and their only son, Oluropo, retired to bed that night before the unfortunate incident happened.

When his wife woke at 6a.m., she went to her husband’s bedroom and found him dead with a scissors stuck in his throat and raised alarm.

It was gathered that the neighbours alerted the Festac Divisional Police who arrested the deceased wife, daughter and son before the case was transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba for detailed investigation.

Although Oluropo denied murdering his father, investigations are said to be pointing towards him, as it was discovered that their apartment was not burgled.

Vanguard furthered gathered that Oluropo was a university student before he was rusticated for cult-related activities in 400 level.

His parents later enrolled him into NIIT, ICT programme, to get him occupied instead of wasting away at home. what a tragedy

Linda Ikeji is a Greedy, Insecure, Irrelevant Blogger:Ngozikanwiro

was surfing the net today when i stumbled upon this post by fast rising blogger and decided to share with you peeps....read her post below

I know many of her fans will see this as beefing, anyway, if that’s how you feel about what I am about to say, then I have nothing else to say than the one I am about to unveil, and no matter how you feel about my opinion on this, it can’t stop me from pouring out my mind on things that needs to be addressed.

Ever since I wrote an open letter to NOLLYWOOD actresses, Cossy Orjiakor and Tonto Dikeh, blogger Linda Ikeji had stopped publishing my comments on some of her blog posts, like the one I made on one of her post about a Nigerian rapper who just released a book on how to stop masturbation. She saw that my comment was so relevant, so she became so afraid to publish it because she knew that her readers will definitely visit my blog after reading that comment, and she also knew that if any of her reader visits my blog, he/she will be amazed to discover that Linda’s blog had been fooling them with irrelevant gossips and news that adds no positive value to their lives.

Now, why did I called Linda Ikeji a ‘greedy blogger’ you may ask?

Linda Ikeji doesn’t want any other Nigerian blog to thrive and gain popularity in Nigeria like hers, but she is only daydreaming because she can’t expect her blog to remain the most popular blog forever in a nation with over 150 million population of smart, intelligent, and wise people.

Many bloggers may not know, but know it now that Linda Ikeji uses all strategies from hyping herself with show-off lifestyles and trips to other extreme strategies to block other blogs from growing popular, anyway, lets not go into details on that for now, but she knows what she’s doing, and she should have it in mind that such strategies won’t last forever.

It is a shame that a blogger as popular as she is, still feel insecure to publish other successful bloggers’ relevant comments on her blog, just to make sure her readers doesn’t get to know about them; she prefers them to remain under her spell of irrelevant news addiction, not knowing that it is even an honor for other bloggers to be visiting her irrelevant blog.

Yes, as an entrepreneur, she has the right to protect her business interest, but not in a shameful, radical and insecure approach that she had been using.

Why did I called her ‘irrelevant blogger’? please pay attention to few of my points. I have many, but in order to make this write-up short, I am going to point out few here.

True and real blogging have gone beyond posting irrelevant celebrity gossips and entertainment gist that adds no positive value to your readers, but instead leave them thinking negatively about their life- why they aren’t living big like the few celebrities you keep posting about their wealth and affluent lifestyle displays. True blogging has gone beyond that level to a level of positive impact in the way of posting relevant write-ups and news that will inspire, challenge and motivate your blog readers towards success in their various endeavors, but Linda’s blog hardly perform this task, instead she dwells more on negative news, irrelevant celebrity gossip, personal lifestyle display to show-off, and other irrelevant topics that leave her readers thinking negatively all the time.

Yes, celebrity news, gist and certain irrelevant news are needed to entertain and retain every blog readers, but it shouldn’t be the major role or the chief goal of an acclaimed blogger like you Linda, whom people, especially the youths are looking up to as a role model.

I want to ask, how many times has Linda Ikeji published articles or publications on how aspiring models can become models without having to patronize some mischievous male modeling agents who mostly demand sex, etc before promoting them, and even after that, still ends up not helping them to achieve their goals of becoming models? As a one-time model herself, and one with fashion modeling experience, Linda Ikeji ought to be posting guidelines on how aspiring models can become models on her blog, at least once every week to help her readers achieve their life goals, that’s how to make positive impact with your blogging career.

How many times has Linda published something to inspire and assist her blog readers who are mostly unemployed youths?

Linda Ikeji keep using doom news, news of sick people needing peoples’ assistance, and other irrelevant news to fool her blog readers. Now I want to ask Linda Ikeji, does it mean that if someone is not badly sick and needing attention or financial assistance to treat themselves, you can’t help them, at least when they are healthy? Linda, so the only time you can assist Nigerians using your blogging career is when they contract a deadly disease or develop sicknesses like- cancer, kidney failure, liver failure, etc? and when that occurs, you happily go to their sickbeds or ask their loved ones to send you their photographs for you to put up on your blog to beg people to help them, and then you make your devilish popularity with peoples’ bad condition? Linda, if this is your wish for Nigerians, you have failed in your blogging career.

Linda, you must have heard about NNPC 2010 mass recruitment that took NNPC management close to 2 years to complete, plus other government ministries’ job recruitment irregularities, Linda did you ever publish something on your blog to waken NNPC, etc and to also alert the Nigerian government on such ugly issues?

Linda, you are aware of the age, female-gender and certificate (HND) discriminations by Nigerian employers during job recruitments, but you are yet to initiate a campaign on these things using your blog popularity, as a way of helping your bog readers and giving back to your society, yet you and others maybe thinking that you are a feminist or gender-equality activist.

Linda, all you talk about on your blog is how this celebrity is going to lodge in the most expensive hotel in the world, how that celebrity purchased another exorbitant car or house, and how you yourself is flying around the world with rich politicians and celebrities, thereby inciting your blog readers and fans into corrupt practices and illegal activities to be like the people you always talk about.

Linda, whether you like it or not, the law of diminishing return must apply to your blog, and if you do not refrain from greed, insecure attitudes and feeling like a lord who has arrived, that law may catch up with your blog too sooner than expected.

Finally for your own info, nairaland.com, talkofnaija.com, naij.com, informationnigeria.com, naija.com and more are gradually phasing you’re your irrelevant blog out. And great upcoming blogs like- olufamous.com, tessume.blogspot.com, ladunliadi.blogspot.com, trendysturvs.blogspot.com, and many more are coming with full force to challenge and possibly oust your irrelevant blog because your readers will soon wake up from your spell of irrelevancy.

Ciao, ngozikanwiro

how to get the best sex this holiday......couples only

Dos and donts couples should know about sex.
Couples should bear it in mind that having problems with s*xuality or er*ction does not mean that you or your partner is physiologically or psychologically abnormal in any way. A man shouldn’t allow his self-esteem and s*x-esteem to suffer. The moment this is allowed, the case becomes worse.
Rather, it is better to abstain from int*rcourse altogether for a period of time and married couples should instead engage more in cuddling and nons*xual touches. Gradually, over a period of weeks or months, depending on the couple, the partners would have worked toward a more relaxing atmosphere and then int*rcourse will naturally follow. This idea is to make s*x a less-threatening experience and to overcome the anxiety grip.

Couples can even add some spice to the love-making by going to a different setting. They can change the routine by trying out new positions.
Stress arising either from performance anxiety or from other life situations can worsen s*xual disorder and erectile dysfunction. Regardless of the cause, it’s difficult to enjoy oneself when one has too much on his mind. Try relaxation exercises such as deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation, where you consciously tense and relax each part of the body in sequence.

Feel free to express your feelings. Marital difficulties are notorious contributors to s*xual problems. Anger, resentment and hurt feelings often spill into a couple’s s*x life, turning the bedroom into a battlefield. This situation is likely to develop if partners don’t communicate. Share your feelings with your spouse. This festive period is the best time to really relax because it is full of fun.
Use "I" statements, and keep the focus on your feelings, instead of your partner’s actions. Doing a thorough housecleaning of the relationship may very well clear the way for a healthier s*xual union instead of storing up emotional debris.

Don’t drink before s*x. Drinking alcohol or being drunk can significantly impair your s*xual functioning. Try once in a while to recapture your previous successful experiences. If performance anxiety has undermined your confidence, thinking about positive s*xual relationships or experiences you have had in the past may help boost your self-esteem. It may also convince you that you can have a fulfilling s*x life in the future. Involve your partner. Although er*ctile difficulties originate with the man while s*xual disorders originate both from man and woman, these challenges are a married couple’s problem and can be sorted out by the couple.
If the problem is not medical, there are many home remedies strategies.

Have a positive mind-set. Just as you are so optimistic about every other life issue, believe that s*xual disorder and er*ctile dysfunction can be completely resolved. For many of these s*xual challenges, a few minutes visit to the hospital and basic medical routine check-up may detect some underlying causes. When they are treated, these ‘gigantic’ challenges easily become issues of the past.

Eating up to 100g on a regular basis of some of our common natural foods is highly beneficial in healing various forms of s*xual disorder especially in females and also increases libido and s*xual power in men.
Some of the foods are Alfalfa sprouts, pistachios, almonds, dried dates, walnuts, local popcorn, quince seeds, salmon, garlic, wheat, black gram, honey, boiled egg, ginger, nuts and white onions. Some of them are well packaged in capsule forms and are available. If you need some of them, you can give me a call.

Natural therapies, like full body massages with olive oil to the base of the penis, lateral sides of the pubic area of the woman and hot baths done with coconut oil regularly are home remedies that have done wonders.

Besides this, couple can adopt cooling method remedy. This is best achieved during foreplay. When you caress your wife and she fondles your p*nis with good lubricant, soon you will notice that you will reach the point where you will be forced to tell her, "Wait…I am close to ej*culating, but I don’t want to ej*culate until I’m inside you. So stop fondling me for a few minutes, I need to cool."
But during those minutes, you will continue to caress her, concentrate more on her oranges and down below [you can even suck them] while she lets go of your p*nis for few minutes until you say, "okay, fondle me again," and soon after that you will tell her, "wait … I need to cool again."
Repeat this ‘fondle-cool’ many times. [That is before you enter her, she fondles your p*nis, but she doesn’t make you ej*culate.] Then you enter her. Because she fondled you before entry many times, this will help train you to the extent that when you eventually enter her, you will not ej*culate too soon.
Do not worry if you have little success the first time you try the ‘fondle-cool home remedy. It may take weeks. Just remember, before you enter your wife, let her fondle your p*nis for a long time, but without making you ej*culate. After some weeks, you will find that this is helping you to slow down after you finally enter her. It will also help you to make her climax.

Another home remedy is the PC muscle exercise or Kegel exercise. This is helpful because it is very natural and can be done anywhere anytime and as many times as possible. Kegel exercise is all about squeezing the PC each time you pass urine. Why urine? Because the PC controls the bladder and the urethra of the man, it even spreads to the prostrate and the pelvic wall. All you need to do is make sure you drink a cup of water every hour. This helps you to visit the bathroom and as soon as you want to urinate, just make sure you are not bringing out the urine at once. Divide the urine into three and as soon as you push out the first part, stop and squeeze. Repeating this over and over strengthens the PC cord and invariably reduces the rush of the sperm leading to quick ejaculation during thrusting in and out.

The masters and Johnson squeeze remedy is also one of several techniques men can use to develop the ability to control ej*culation and exercise weak p*nis. Ask your wife to caress you to point of arousal. As soon as you get a full er*ction (not before orgasm – just when you get a full erection), she should stop and put her two index fingers under the base of the cap of your p*nis. The thumb must be placed over the frenulum, which is the elastic band of the p*nis; it connects the foreskin to the penis.
She should then squeeze it hard for about four seconds (she needs to squeeze quite hard), you may even lose between 10 and 30 per cent of your er*ction because of the squeezing. This is completely normal. Your partner should wait for 15-30 seconds after releasing the squeeze before starting to stimulate your p*nis again. As soon as you re-gain a full er*ction, the squeeze technique can again be done. This pattern can be repeated 4-5 times in the first time. When you have done this a few times, it gradually firms the tissues of the p*nis.
- and with all these you will get the best s*x ever this holiday period. Enjoy!

North Korea resident blasts U.S over release of 'The Interview', calls Obama a monkey

 North korea blasts barack obama........

North Korea called President Barack Obama "a monkey" and blamed the U.S. on Saturday for shutting down its Internet amid the hacking row over the comedy "The Interview."

North Korea has denied involvement in a crippling cyberattack on Sony Pictures but has expressed fury over the comedy depicting an assassination of its leader Kim Jong Un. After Sony Pictures initially called off the release in a decision criticized by Obama, the movie has opened this week.

On Saturday, the North's powerful National Defense Commission, the country's top governing body led by Kim, said that Obama was behind the release of "The Interview." It described the movie as illegal, dishonest and reactionary.

"Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," an unidentified spokesman at the commission's Policy Department said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency.

"If the U.S. is to persistently insist that the hacking attack was made by the DPRK, the U.S. should produce evidence without fail, though belatedly," the statement publish by KCNA said.

He also accused Washington for intermittent outages of North Korea websites this week, after the U.S. had promised to respond to the Sony hack.

There was no immediate reaction from the White House on Saturday.

According to the North Korea commission's spokesman, "the U.S., a big country, started disturbing the Internet operation of major media of the DPRK, not knowing shame like children playing a tag."
The commission said the movie was the results of a hostile U.S. policy toward North Korea, and threatened the U.S. with unspecified consequences.

North Korea and the U.S. remain technically in a state of war because the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty. The rivals also are locked in an international standoff over the North's nuclear and missile programs and its alleged human rights abuses. The U.S. stations about 28,500 troops in South Korea as deterrence against North Korean aggression.

etcetera blasts wizkid

musician turned writer etcetera writes and thrashes wizkid 'in my bed' song....abeg make we free wizkid oo....read his article below...........

Six weeks ago, I was in Benin City to support a friend who was getting married that weekend. We drove down to Ugbowo campus of UNIBEN, laughing along the way at bini guys and the way they pronounce certain words. We got stuck in an unusual traffic jam and my friend who was driving, took the opportunity to reply his pings, pausing only to turn up the radio when Wizkid’s “In My Bed” came on. A few seconds later, he increased the volume even more. I accepted that since I was in his car, I had to endure his choice of songs. So I listened, trying to figure out why he was interested in that particular song.

Though the melody has this jingle-catchy feel, everything else about the song is horrible. The mix brought to mind those days when Nigerian studio engineers were still learning how to mix. The overall instrumentation is noisy with the kick pitched high, like a headache. Played on F-sharp minor, which is a predominantly high key for most people, but the struggling syncopation over a lazy bass line weighs the whole song relentlessly down. My friends know that I have a crazy physical reaction to songs, mostly when I love it. In this instance, I was gasping for breath by the end, as if the song was trying to strangle me. I thanked God I was still alive when it finally ended. But as the traffic lingered my friend put down his phone, this time to surf through radio stations. Again, he landed on “In My Bed.” That was when I really got scared, thinking I was going to pass out.

This year, we have had a mix of both good and bad songs. Wizkid’s “In my bed” is one of those ear worms you don’t want to get into your brain space for three minutes and 46 seconds. Those who will say “WTF” is Etcetera saying? I want you to note that I have a zero interest in persuading you to agree with me. If you enjoy “In My Bed,” I won’t dream of changing your mind. I heard it again last weekend at my manager’s party, and for a second, I thought it was some kind of pain killer advert, because the radio station where I have my show, currently runs an ad that sounds like a more palatable version of it. My Christmas day was almost ruined when a caller on my show requested “In My Bed” for his girlfriend. Because Christmas only comes once in a year, I decided to grant her wish, but as soon as I clicked play, I had the sort of physical reaction associated with someone suddenly coming in contact with bees. And before my mind could process what was happening, I hammered the stop button quickly, arrgh! If you are one of those who regard this song as a standard club track with all the necessary “thumps and bumps” and you are angry at my loathing of it, it doesn’t bother me at all. I have fantasised for weeks about punching this song in the eye, but unfortunately, the song doesn’t have a head, talkless of eyes.

How can one song cram in so many failed decisions per minute? One minute you are trying to woo a girl into your bed, the next, you are saying Tinubu eleniyan, Fashola eleniyan. What has Tinubu eleniyan got to do with getting her in your bed? Are you pimping her to Tinubu or to the other names you mentioned in the song? There’s nothing wrong with praise singing if you do it right. “In My Bed” sounds like a guy trying so hard to get it right and therefore getting it all wrong. You packed in the same overused lines “Anywhere I go all my people show me love / And people trying to bad mouth me. Don’t you think by now, we’ve heard enough of your sniffy little screech of being chased by enemies? It is boring already. Even a connoisseur of pop trash won’t find anything to like about a song like this. “In My Bed” is one song you don’t need to know the lyrics, you may want to shield your friends and loved ones from its strange concoction. It is indeed the worse song of this or any other year. Oh sorry, this year is not over yet, so it’s theoretically possible a worse contender could emerge, but I doubt it. Let’s put it this way, if placed in comparison with any of Artquake’s songs, it would still be a distant second. I can’t remember the last time there was a hit song this whack.

6 signs you are in Lust and not in love

A lot of people mistaken lust for love and when you asked them if they are inlove or lust they get confused...this article will let you know .

This happens to many guys, where you've got a girl for one thing and a girl for another, and you don't really want to lose either of them, but you don't really know why. Women do it too; they call it having male friends. You're not necessarily doing anything wrong with either one of them, any more than they are; you just haven't pinned anyone down for anything serious... yet. Whether you will or not remains to be seen, and if all parties are aware and OK with the arrangements, no harm no foul. This simply means, your bases are covered.
But everybody knows this can't last forever, so what do you do when it's time to make a choice? Sometimes the request comes from her, and sometimes it's you who needs to do the introspection. If you are trying to figure out whether it's lust or love with one particular girl, check to see how many of these signs you cross off your mental list when you are weighing the pros and cons.
The Details:

"Hot" is the first word that comes to mind when you think of her. If this is how you describe her to your friends, repeatedly, then it might not be love. Your intentions are matched by how you describe her. If you can't even remember her name, no, you don't love her.

What she says or thinks is irrelevant to you. It's not that you are uncaring; you just only have time, energy and brain compartments for people that matter. And she's not one of them; her compartment is an entirely different organ as far as you are concerned.

You think it's great that she is smart and has a life; you just aren't as concerned about it as you would be if say, you wanted to one day buy her a present that matched her deepest darkest emotion. That's not your role, and you both are OK with that.

She meets a need, and that's it. You aren't going to call her when you have a bad day unless you need to physically blow off some steam. You might go out for dinner with her, but there's a definite end game in mind, drinks at her place or yours is more likely just an end to a means.

You only contact her after midnight. This is the universal message of booty call, for both men and women. You love being with her, yes, but you don't love her. When she says no because she's too upset that her cat died, you are disappointed, but not because she is sad about her cat. Again, it's not that you are unfeeling; she just plays a different role in your life than someone who you have deep loving feelings for.

She wants you to say the "L" word, and you... don't. If you can't even bring yourself to say the word, it isn't love. People who are in love love everything about the person they are with  they love eating fries with them, they love hanging out with them, they love everything about them. If you think she's cool and you can't bring yourself to up the ante on the emotions any more than that, then, you think she's cool. Period.

You don't picture her in your life. Christian Carter, relationship expert for women and author of How to Catch Him and Keep Him, says that both men and women begin to subconsciously visualize the people that they begin falling in love with in their lives. If you are having Sunday dinner with mom and are asked when you are bringing her over and your first thought is, "Why?", then you don't love her.

The Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that if you need to ask whether it is lust or love, then it probably isn't love. There is nothing wrong with that so long as you are clear about your intentions when you are in the dating game.
Maybe one day you will settle down, and maybe one day, you won't. But if the woman you are with right now is not someone you can visualize in your life in the long term, there's nothing wrong with that. Knowing the difference between lust and love will make it that much easier for you to enjoy the world of dating with the most honest and clear intentions possible.....The ultimate question now is,Are you inlove or lust?

Wike accuses amaechi of sponsoring buhari/apc campaign with 30billion

The political drama in rivers state continues just as former minister state for Education and Rivers State governorship flag bearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nyesom Wike, has accused Governor Chibuike Amaechi of spending a whopping N30 billion on General Muhammadu Buhari campaign to be All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.

Besides, he said Amaechi was deceived by the leadership of the APC to spend the state fund on Buhari, in the hope that he would be chosen as the vice presidential candidate.

He attributed the alleged non-payment of salaries of civil servants in the state to the funding of the party by the governor.

Wike stated this yesterday at a “thank-you” visit to the people of Ikwerre held in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.

He said: “Do you know why workers’ salaries have not been paid? Amaechi spent N30 billion in funding the presidential campaign of the APC. They allowed him to spend the money and later, they called him mugu.

“They said we would not make this ‘boy’ who does not respect the president (Jonathan) the vice president. We should know that our future is in the PDP and not the APC.”

But, the state government, through the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, has debunked the allegation of Amaechi funding Buhari.

She described the claim as baseless and false, saying Wike should provide proof to back his statement.

Semenitari stated: “It is unbelievable that a man who wants to be the governor of this state can make such an unbelievable statement without any proof.

“We challenge him (Wike) to show proof that Governor Amaechi spent N30 billion to fund APC campaign.

“There are some things that are unbelievable. With what President Jonathan is giving us, N30 billion is three months allocation. Is that what he (Wike) is saying that we used for primary? Rivers State Government will not dignify such unintelligent talk with responses. We will not respond to unintelligent talk; we will not react to silly conjecturing.”

Wike, while expressing gratitude to Ikwerre people for endorsing him to run for the gubernatorial slot, disclosed that the PDP had chosen a woman to be his running mate, adding that she would be unveiled on Tuesday. He urged Ikwerre people to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying APC was not the hope of Nigerians.

He said: “We are getting women involved in decision making of the state. The campaign is now for women to take to the next level. We have gone beyond the stage of just sharing wrapper to women as empowerment. This is a new era in Rivers State. The fate of Rivers people does not lie in the opposition APC. We are for the PDP all the way”

The governorship flag bearer stated that the legacies Governor Amaechi-led government had bequeathed to Rivers people were closure of the judiciary, House of Assembly, monorail and the N50 billion Karibi-Whyte Hospital.

Wike promised the people that, if voted as governor in 2015, he would review the economic value of their lands acquired by the state government for the Greater Port Harcourt City (GPH) project.

He urged the people to remain vigilant, alleging that APC was sewing fake police uniforms in an attempt to rig the 2015 elections. Wike charged the people to resist any attempt to compromise the electoral process by the APC.

A PDP chieftain in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Ernest Wosu, regretted that Amaechi failed the people, hence the decision to support a politician with a pedigree.

photos & videos: scary confession of a female witch doctor

This article was written by Freelance journalist and writer for Synagogue Church. Read below...

A lady at the centre of a sex scandal involving a prominent South African Pastor has given a shocking confession at a church in Lagos, Nigeria following her ‘deliverance’.

Olipha Dube, a 34 year old of Zulu origin, revealed that she had practised as a ‘sangoma’ or witchdoctor for many years, exposing some eerie secrets behind the mysterious ‘profession’.

“This is the time to expose the kingdom of darkness and what the devil is doing in so many people’s lives by deceiving them to believe that witchcraft, witchdoctors, herbalists and traditional healers have a solution,” Dube emphatically began after a clip showing her ‘deliverance’ was shown to church congregants.

The clip showed the pastor praying for Dube, upon which she violently reacted and an uncanny voice spoke out through her, identifying itself as ‘the great lion’. “I have given her too many powers,” the ‘spirit’ confessed. “I make her do anything I send her. I have given her wisdom to do what I want her to do, to break people’s marriages, to break homes. She is a witchdoctor.”

Olipha explained that her professional nursing career inexplicably nosedived, prompting a friend to advise her to seek ‘alternative’ help. Following consultation at a herbalists home, the response she received from her creepy counsellor was an unexpected one. “He told me I had a gift from the ancestors and I was supposed to be a sangoma myself,” she recalled. “I agreed. At that time, I thought it was a solution.”

After going to an ‘initiation school’, incisions were strategically placed throughout her body with several darkish substances known as ‘muti’ rubbed in so as to infuse with her blood. “Those charms are to give you powers to see what other people don’t see, powers to be able to communicate with the spiritual world,” she explained.

After starting her practice as a traditional healer, the thirst for deeper knowledge and more advanced powers spurred Olipha to pass through another ‘initiation’. “I paid a lot of money and he taught me how to use plants, herbs and trees – to mix them with animal parts – to produce whatever charms you wanted to,” she divulged.

Olipha built an altar in her bedroom, as well as erecting a house in her garden dedicated to paying homage to her ‘ancestors’. “You would use that to store your charms and for consultation,” she explained. At this stage, her daily life literally revolved around witchcraft. “Before I could speak to anyone in the morning, I had to speak to the ancestors at my altar... They would tell me how my day was going to be like - the challenges I was going to meet, the people that would come and see me, the charms to use to be able to succeed through the day.”

Dube said she had to maintain constant connection with these ‘ancestors’. “I had powers in my eyes, tongue and all over my body,” she told the shocked congregation. “If you take a look at my body now, I have incisions everywhere, even in my private parts.”

She described the services of a witchdoctor as a ‘one-stop-shop’ where you are “expected to provide solutions for a variety of problems”.  However, everything came with strings attached. “There is no consultation for free. We would first throw the bones on the floor and get information we want about the past, present and future. If the person really wants the problem solved, we would move to the next level where they would have to pay. The deeper the problem, the more the money.”

Citing an example of a ‘love-charm’ , the former sangoma explained how she would use plants to create attention and an animal to produce affection. “In this case, I would choose a female dog,” she revealed. “We would wait for the time of mating to capture the dog. At that time, the dog is enraged and uncontrollable. You would remove the parts you require from that dog, dry them in the sun and mash them.”

According to Dube, if people consulting witchdoctors knew the contents of the charms given them, most would run for their dear lives. “When people come, they just see powder – they don’t know that this is actually an animal. We would make an incision, put that animal together with other charms in the person’s body, in their blood. That is going to produce the effect from the behavior of the dog in that person’s life. When the man she wants to marry sees her, something will just happen to him and he will lust after her.”

However, there were serious side-effects! In this particular instance, Dube explained, after a short-lived romance, hatred would set in leaving the relationship in tatters. “At that stage, that is when people start moving from one witchdoctor to another because they think maybe your charms are not powerful enough. The more they go to witchdoctors, they more they use these charms, the more they go deeper and deeper into their problems,” she revealed.

Explaining the rationale behind this, Olipha explained, “The aim was to get people hooked. Once a person gets hooked, it’s impossible to get them out… The more you hunt for greater power, the more you expose yourself into deeper problems. You would even get to a level where you would go to those traditional healers who use human body parts to create charms.”

Revealing more about an increasingly common complaint in churches today - having sexual encounters in dreams - Olipha stated, “One of the best ways to create a problem in a person’s life is to get either a spiritual husband or a spiritual wife. This was best done in a graveyard, the former spiritualist sensationally told the stunned crowd.

“If you wanted to raise a spiritual husband for a woman, you would randomly select any male grave, looking at the name of the tombstone. Most importantly, you would have to buy this spirit. I would tell the spirit – ‘As from today, you are married to ‘so-and-so’. You are going to stay with her and perform all the duties a husband does to and for his wife.’  Soon afterwards, my client would come to me and say, ‘I am very happy – their life is in shambles. She lost her job. Her husband left her.’ ”

However, despite touting herself as a ‘solution-provider’ to others, Olipha was beset by crippling financial challenges. “I lost my business and all of my assets. I was very upset, bitter and angry and decided it was time for me to find something else but I had not made the decision to find God because of the Christians that were also coming to me for consultation. I saw all Christians as fake. I went to a lot of other herbalists, traditional healers and witchdoctors. Instead, my situation got worse and worse until I lost everything.”

At this point, Dube visited the controversial South African Pastor Mboro of Incredible Happenings Ministries to seek ‘deliverance’. However, their relationship soon grew sour as Dube publicly accused him in the popular South African tabloid newspaper ‘Sunday World’ of abusing her and ‘sexploiting’ her personal problems for his own gratification, resulting in a contentious court case.

In the midst of this, fear steadily welled up within Olipha. She wanted to get out but the ethics of her ‘profession’ did not permit backtracking! “I was living in constant fear,” she stated. “I even gave my car away because I was too scared to drive. These spirits were always telling me that I was going to die. I knew that they were after my life.”

Growing more desperate and steadily losing hope, it was at this point that one of her ‘students’ directed her toward a Christian station called Emmanuel TV. “I was shocked. I saw people manifesting, talking about the very same things we would do to other people. I saw Prophet T.B. Joshua commanding the spirits to go out in one word. I saw people with the same problem that I had being helped and knew that this was where my solution would come from.”

Resolving to visit The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria, Olipha had a dramatic experience when she was prayed for. “As the prophet was approaching me, I felt this big force that was blowing me. I felt something deep inside my tummy shifting and shaking my intestines in an uncontrollable way.” At this point, Dube said a voice within her instructed her to run as fast as possible away but something inexplicably restricted her movement.

“I just had to surrender right there. Before I knew it, this lady grabbed me, lifted me up and told me I was delivered,” she stated. “Since the deliverance, I have this peace inside of me. I can sleep. I am just in tranquillity.”

Olipha is packed with advice following her extensive sojourn in the world of darkness. “I have a lot of advice. Firstly to Christians – ‘If you want to be a Christian, be a Christian’. People who go to traditional doctors and herbalists – hear it from me – there is no solution there. You will finish your money and at the end of the day, it will eat up even things that you did not get through them. There is no solution through herbalists, traditional healers or witchdoctors. The only solution is Jesus Christ.”

Health benefits of apple

[Pin It] Apples may help reduce the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Apples are one of the healthiest foods a person can eat. They are high in fiber and vitamin C, and they are also low in calories, have only a trace of sodium, and no fat or cholesterol.

"Apples are high in polyphenols, which function as antioxidants,” said Laura Flores, a nutritionist based in San Diego. “These polyphenols are found in both the skin of the apples as well as in the meat, so to get the greatest amount of benefits, eat the skin of the apple."

All of these benefits mean that apples may mitigate the effects of asthma and Alzheimer's disease, while assisting with weight management, bone health, pulmonary function and gastrointestinal protection.

Often called a "miracle food" and "nutritional powerhouse," an apple a day really may keep the doctor away. Here are the nutrition facts from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which regulates food labeling through the National Labeling and Education Act:

Apples are loaded with vitamin C. Almost half of an apple's vitamin C content is just under the skin, so it's a good idea to eat apples with their skins. Flores said that this is also where apples' fiber is found. Apples contain insoluble fiber, which provides bulk in the intestinal tract. The bulk holds water that cleanses and moves food quickly through the digestive system.

According to Flores, "Regular intake of apples has been shown to have cardiovascular benefits. [This is due to] two properties of apples: the fiber that they contain and the polyphenols that are found in high amounts."

In addition to digestion-aiding insoluble fiber, apples have soluble fiber, such as pectin. This nutrient helps prevent cholesterol from building up in the lining of blood vessels, which in turn helps prevent atherosclerosis and heart disease. In a 2011 study, women who ate 75 grams of dried apples every day for six months had a 23 percent decrease in bad LDL cholesterol, said study researcher Bahram H. Arjmandi, professor at and chair of the department of nutrition at Florida State University. Additionally, the women's levels of good HDL cholesterol increased by about 4 percent, according to the study.

When it comes to polyphenols and antioxidants, Flores explained that they "work in the cell lining to decrease oxidation resulting in lowering risk of cardiovascular disease."

Another study tracked food consumption among 9,208 people for 28 years. Those who ate more apples had a lower risk of stroke. Researchers attributed the results to quercetin, an antioxidant in apples.

There are respiratory benefits to eating apples, as well. "Apples' antioxidant benefits can help lower the risk of asthma,” Flores told Live Science. Also, a study of 2,500 middle-aged men in Wales found improved lung function among those who ate an apple a day, according to the University of California, Davis. A study in Brazil showed that adding three apples a day to women's diets helped lower their calorie intake and contributed to weight reduction.
Apples and cancer

The American Institute for Cancer Research recommends eating lots of fruits and vegetables, including apples. The antioxidant content of apples ranks among the highest for fruits, and research shows that antioxidants help prevent cancer.

Lung cancer risk can especially be lowered through apples' antioxidants, according to Flores. A study in Hawaii found that people who regularly eat apples, onions and white grapefruit cut their lung cancer risk in half.
