Minimum Qualification is HND

Responsibilities:

    The Field Engineer will be responsible to Provide coordination, mentoring, and management to less experienced field engineers.
    The successful candidate will be accountable to the Installation Team Leader.
    The Field Engineer will be responsible to provide technical engineering advice and information to construction supervision and craft to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction applicable to one or more work disciplines.
    Act as the primary engineering contact to address and coordinate all Requests for Information from the contractors.
    Provide coordination, mentoring, and management to less experienced field engineers.
    The successful candidate will be accountable to the Installation Team Leader.
    Actively champions safety.
    Issues Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports on Contractors Field Engineering activities.
    Understand technical drawings and specifications for Industrial construction.
    Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material.
    Prepare field design change requisitions and as build drawings, as required.
    Comprehend subcontractor scope of work, terms, and technical requirements.
    Good communication skills (written and oral) including technical communication.
    Facilitate technical approvals to provide timely response and adhere to project schedule.
    Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
    Work closely with QA/QC representatives with regard to the Contractors as build Dossiers.
    Address engineering design questions interpreting drawings, specifications, standards and other technical documents.
    Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records, such as status reports, punch list items describing work to be done, sketches of work already completed, material calculations, etc. Reviews and identifies revisions needed to design documentation.
    Works with Contractors to expedite items as necessary to meet construction schedule.
    Reviews and endorses Contractors field change requests when needed.
    Reviews and manages contractually required Engineering documentation.


Experience and qualification required:

    HND or B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, and Industrial Engineer or related)
    Current Bos/Huet offshore survival certificate.
    Able to use ACAD, MATHCAD, MS Project is an added advantage.
