How to use Etisalat BIS on Android device...
may be some folks who still don't know about it.
What is this post about:
ETIBABA BISANDROID means
1k sub = 3.75G = 1 month = 1k+ bonus credit.
This has been on for sometime now. Let me give you guys the lowdown. Here we go................
1. Sub for Etibaba BIS using any fone of ur choice i. e. It ain't imperative that u use a bb device.
Now to do this, there are two methods involved. Both methods work perfectly well, however the text
message method has the added bonus of one being given back his recharge card value as bonus
credit i.e. Recharge 1k and get 1k bonus back. Note however that this is a general rule and not
necessarily a hard and fast rule.
1a. TEXT MSG METHOD: Send COM to 399
1b. USSD METHOD: Dial *499*3#
N.B. After this, Etibaba automatically activates the monthly BIS plan for you by default every month
after ur data plan expires.
Also note that unlike other networks in 9ja, Etibaba gives a refund if one decides against subscribing
for the BIS plan and even reward you with extra credit for this. # Ain't this just wonderfully great. I
mean just in case it doesn't work for you, [through no fault of mine, but solely your fault, becos dis
trick is confirmer confirmento ☺] you can actually get your credit back and even more with extra
bonus credit.
To cancel or opt-out of the monthly auto-subscription dial *399*2#
This comes in handy for those who might exhaust their data before it expires. To resubscribe, you
1st have to
opt-out.
To check you data balance dial *228#
For those skeptics who have doubts abt the genuineness of this tweak and would wanna tryout the
daily plans, here you go:- however know dat i hv personally not tried d daily or weekly plans.
For daily sub Send COD to 399. However know dat it is capped @ 50mb.
Fo weekly sub send COW to 399. However know dat it is capped @ 500mb.

2. Next is a little tweaking of your android device access point name APN. Go to settings > more >
mobile networks > APN > Choose Etibaba [ if u are using a dual sim device]
2a. Create a new APN using the settings below
Name: Etibaba
APN: blackberry.net
Proxy : 10.71.170.5
Port : 8080 or 9021
SAVE THIS NEW PROFILE. AND SELECT IT AS UR DEFAULT CONFIGURATION.
NOW YOU ARE DONE, AS IN SHIKENAN. SURF AS U DEEM FIT. For all the above mentioned steps,
you don't need to have root access for it to work. This is in contrast to the Glo Bis android plan.
YOU CAN NOW BROWSE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF WHATSAPP MESSENGER.
3. For those who intend to use Whatsapp messenger, there is an extra step as explained below.
3a. You must be rooted
3b. Install either Proxydroid or Autoproxy apk from playstore.
3c. Power your Whatsapp by setting the above apps as below :
Host: 10.71.170.5
Port:8080 or 9021
Proxy type : HTTP
Tick Auto connect [ start proxy when specified network is available]. This ensures u don't have to
manually start ur proxy app every time.
Dats all. Its done and dusted with.
For light users who don't surf much, you can enjoy ur data b4 it expires by downloading
from Youtube.com or other video sites using the SS prefix method. Of course ucweb browser is the
best in this regard cos of its inbuilt download manager.
